Sanny said, the total export to four (4) countries have reached into 98.7 tons with total exchange of USD233.385. Within this week, this product will be exported to Tunisian for 25 tons, with value of USD61.250. Argentina for 37,5 tons with total price of USD98.750, Polandia for 23,5 tons with total price of USD41.125 and New Zealand 12,7 tons with total price of USD32.260,” Sanny said.
Head of Foreign Trade in this department, Hanny Wayong said, as Europe is now hit by economic crisis, however,it is not really affected the main export commodity from North Sulawesi to Europe. “After Italy, Polandia is now importing North Sulawesi commodity, it signs that our product is still popular to the European market,” Wayong said.
Coconut flour, says Hanny, is the best choice of some countries as it has similar quality with any other flours to be used as raw material.
